SUMMARY:Member Webinar I ERCI | Driving Innovation in Railway Infrastructure Through Materials
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]\nWhat to expect?\nThis ERCI Webinar presents some new insights into innovative strategies for the use of materials for railway infrastructure.\nPlease register here\nThe reuse of materials and the management of surplus materials across various construction sites are key components of the sustainable approach to TUC RAIL’s projects. This aims to reduce the ecological footprint of the railway industry by generating less waste and placing less pressure on natural resources. The TUC RAIL vision to prioritize the use of re-used and unused new materials before purchasing new ones formed the basis for developing the EcoTrack platform for railway materials. This platform is intended to provide the necessary visibility\, transparency\, and traceability for the recycling of railway materials\, ensuring it is embedded throughout the entire organisation.\n\nComposite Braiding Ltd (CBL) worked with Amey\, a major rail and road infrastructure design and installation company\, to design and install a composite twin track cantilever structure. The task was to demonstrate what benefits could be realised from introducing innovative materials rather than using the current standard of galvanised steel. This presentation sets out the results of that work and looks at the future applications.\n\n \n\n \n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Partner WEBINAR | EACCNY I Quarterly EU Economic Update: This Time Is Different - Europe Builds on its Foundations for Stability and Growth
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]This Quarterly EU Economic Update is organized by EACCNY in cooperation with the EU Delegation in Washington DC\,\n\nPresident Trump’s decision to attack Iran has the potential to transform the Middle East – but at least in the short-term has led to sharply higher energy prices. But unlike in 2022\, when Russia’s invasion of Ukraine triggered an energy crisis\, this time Europe is much better prepared. The EU has greatly expanded its use of renewable energy\, has diversified its suppliers of oil and natural gas\, and has upgraded its domestic energy infrastructure.\n\nMoreover\, the European economy is on a much sounder footing. Euro Area inflation is at target\, and pandemic-era supply chain problems are no longer causing price increases. Heading into the war\, the EU economic expansion was gathering speed\, helped by a strong labor market and growing household consumption\, public spending on defense and infrastructure\, and a recovery in the German manufacturing sector.\nHigher energy prices will\, of course\, be a drag on EU growth the longer they last. But this time is different: the EU’s capacity to weather this and other storms is continuously improving. Progress is made in the field of competitiveness (Industrial Accelerator Act)\, easy in scaling up in the EU’s internal market (EU Inc) and the Savings and Investment Union.\n\nPlease join Yvonne Bendinger-Rothschild\, Ben Carliner\, Willem Kooi as they discuss the European Commission’s new Spring Economic Forecast\, which will be the first to incorporate the impact of the conflict in the Middle East on the EU economic outlook.\n\nSPEAKERS:\n• Ben Carliner\, Senior Economist\, DELEGATION OF THE EU TO THE U.S.\n• Willem Kooi\, Counsellor for Economic and Financial Affairs\, DELEGATION OF THE EU TO THE U.S.\n• Yvonne Bendinger-Rothschild\, Executive Director\, EACCNY [Moderator]\n\nREGISTER HERE\n\nThis webinar is organized in partnership with:\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Member Webinar I ERCI I Using AI for Improving Services in Public Transport
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]As part of their Innovation in Rail focused series\, join this ERCI webinar and learn about using AI for improving services in public transport.\n\nThanks to AI-supported capacity analysis and forecasting\, transport companies can accurately predict the utilisation of their vehicles in real time. This is made possible by OpenCapacity’s patented AI technology\, which intelligently links live data from existing on-board sensors (e.g. weight\, Wi-Fi\, AFZ\, CCTV) with external variables such as weather\, delays or major events. This provides in-depth insights into passenger flows and usage behaviour – not just retrospectively\, but also proactively.\n\nClick on the logo for details.\n\nWednesday\, 10 December 2025 | 10:00-11:30 (UTC+1)\nPlease register here: https://mobilitaet-bb.de/en/calendar/erci-webinar-using-ai-improving-services-public-transport[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
