SUMMARY:Partner Event I WEBINAR | Quarterly EU Economic Update - A Reliable Partner in an Uncertain World
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]\n\n\nThis not to be missed quarterly EU economic update is brought to you by EACCNY.\n\nAfter recovering from the twin shocks of COVID-19 and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine\, global economic growth is being challenged by escalating trade tensions\, shifting policy priorities\, and an unpredictable outlook. Amidst wavering business and consumer sentiment and volatile financial markets\, the European Union is proving its worth as an anchor of economic and geopolitical stability.\n\nAt home\, the EU is moving ahead with reforms that will unleash higher productivity growth while giving policy makers the flexibility to make vital investments in defense\, energy\, and new technologies. Globally\, the EU is working hard to craft fair and transparent international agreements that promote the free flow of trade\, investment\, and ideas while defending the rules-based international order.\n\nEACCNY in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union to the U.S. is organizing an in-depth discussion of the economic outlook in Europe based on the soon to be published Spring Economic Forecast of the European Commission. Our expert speakers will shed light on the major challenges and opportunities facing the EU and U.S. economy over the coming year.\n\nSPEAKERS:\n• Ben Carliner\, Senior Economist\, DELEGATION OF THE EU TO THE U.S.\n• Willem Kooi\, Counsellor for Economic and Financial Affairs\, DELEGATION OF THE EU TO THE U.S.\n• Yvonne Bendinger-Rothschild\, Executive Director\, EACCNY [Moderator]\n\nREGISTRATION FEE:\n> EACC Members: Free\n> EACC non-Members: Free\n\nREGISTER HERE\n\n\n\n\n \n\nThis webinar is organized in partnership with:\n\n\n\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:ONLINE I EACC Paris I Legal Certainty in Taxation and Transfer Pricing: How to Develop a Constructive Relationship with French Tax Authorities
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Tax rules\, particularly in terms of international taxation\, can be complex. However\,  French tax authorities offer solutions to help  secure tax positions of groups present in France. By fostering a long-term relationship with the administration\, groups can address tax issues related to their specific activities and exceptional transactions.\n\nThis is particularly important for groups looking to develop their activities in France. The administration can ensure more certainty by securing the tax treatment for projects and validating transfer pricing  methods for international transactions between the United States and France.\n\nTo support businesses\, specialized departments within the French tax administration now offer streamlined processes adapted to the transactions involved and the objectives of international groups.\n\nThese services are designed to:\n\n Provide tax certainty for investment projects\n Secure tax treatment applicable to investment projects\n Limit the burden of tax audits\n Eliminate double taxation\n\nThe European American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) invites you to a videoconference\, featuring senior officials from these programs within the French tax administration.Participants will have the opportunity to:\n\n Discuss the best ways to manage their relationship with French tax authorities\n Exchange best practices\n Gain insights on how to create a sustainable connection with various  departments.\n\nDate/Time\nWednesday\, March 19th\, 2025\n12:00 PM – 1:30 PM EST\n\nThe event will be held in English.\n\nINFORMATION AND REGISTRATION HERE.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Partner Event I Public Innovation Challenge: Propelling Waste Diversion Across Miami-Dade County
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Miami-Dade Innovation Authority (MDIA) has announced the launch of the fifth Public Innovation Challenge in collaboration with the Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) and the Office of Innovation and Economic Development (OIED)\, with support from the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).\n\nMiami-Dade County produces over five million tons of waste annually. SUMMARY:Cozen O'Connor I WEBINAR I Getting Trade Ready in 2025: Strategies to Navigate Tariff Impacts
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]\n\n\nUnder the incoming second Trump administration\, the United States is expected to adopt a more protectionist trade policy\, increasing tariffs on imports\, particularly from China.
