Why Florida Series – Business Delegation from Poland

EACC Florida is kicking off its “Why Florida” series with a presentation to a business delegation from Poland of fourteen companies from a variety of sectors and industries. This represents an excellent opportunity for EACC Florida Members to engage in some B2B networking with the visiting companies.

  • Forms of US legal entity through which foreign businesses may transact business
  • Human resource/employee issues that foreign employers of US residents may encounter
  • Other compliance concerns, such as licensure by the Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and local municipalities
  • Taxation and financial issues, such as opening bank accounts, obtaining an Employer Identification Number, and filing tax returns, and securities

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES

Jordan Chisholm

Jordan focuses his practice on business and corporate matters. His practice spans mergers and acquisitions, emerging businesses and venture capital, entity formation, financings, joint ventures, and general corporate matters. Jordan also serves as co-chair of the firmwide Associates Committee after completing a term as co-vice chair. Prior to Cozen O’Connor, Jordan was an Equal Justice Works fellow at Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. in Miami, where he founded the Neighborhood Entrepreneurs Project, Legal Services’ s pro bono small business practice. Through the project, he provided pro bono transactional legal services to more than 100 low-income entrepreneurs as outside general counsel and was a frequent speaker on panels and workshops covering core legal issues for emerging business owners. Jordan also served as a corporate associate at an Albany, N.Y., area law firm. He is a graduate of New York University School of Law, where he received the Dean John Sexton Prize for service to the NYU Law community. He is admitted to practice in New York and Florida and is a member of both the American and New York State Bar Associations.

 

Ernesto Guzman

Ernesto Guzman is a CPA/MBA with twenty years’ experience providing financial services to multinational companies doing business abroad. He has vast experience in LATAM and the U.S. in financial and operation functions.  As Country Leader USA at TMF Group, his focus is on assisting inbound companies to start up business in The North American Region.

 

 

 

Fabrice Marmousez

Fabrice Marmousez has 27 years of professional experience, including 25 in public accounting. He is a French CPA as well as a French statutory auditory, has a diverse background and specializes in providing tax services to a variety of privately held entities, international owned-family groups, and individuals.

As a former PwC France Partner, Fabrice has been the Northern regional leader for the tax, audit and due diligence practice dedicated to Privated Client Services (PCS). He has experience working with professional service organizations in domestic multi-state and international structures.

Fabrice leads RSM’s International Private Client Services (iPCS) and France Business Services for the South East region. While his focus is on France, he has significant experience with tax accounting for both U.S. and European frameworks: corporate and individual tax, Permanent Establishment and transfer pricing matters, international financial and tax reporting (individuals and corporates).

 

Patrick Misiewicz

Patrick is a professional business and management consultant and the Managing Director of Polrydian, a Miami based consultancy and advisory company. Established in 2017, Polrydian Consultancy offers a wide range of international business strategy solutions, allowing business to find the right path for international growth. The firm has an interdisciplinary group of experts and together with all the knowledge, technical skills, experiences, ability and fine network it is committed in bridging Central and Eastern Europe with the Americas.

Patrick is also a Real Estate Associate at OPTIMAR International since 2009.

Patrick has a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Florida International University, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Economic Relations from the University of Gdansk, Poland, Inholland, Amsterdam Netherlands, and Kyungpook National University South Korea.
