A Conversation with Michael Curtis EU Deputy Ambassador to the US

March 12, 2024 @ 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM EDT
EACC FLORIDA, THE WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL MIAMI, GLOBAL TIES MIAMI AND MIAMI DADE COLLEGE INVITE YOU TO A CONVERSATION WITH EU DEPUTY AMBASSADOR TO THE US MICHAEL CURTIS ON TRANSATLANTIC RELATIONS AND EUROPE’S ROLE IN THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE.

Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, rising tensions between the US and China and across the Middle East, and the perspective of an increasingly multi-polar world are confronting Europe and the United States with an increasingly challenging environment, politically, economically and militarily. Also, at least 64 countries around the world – including the United States, a number of European states as well as EU parliamentary elections – representing a combined population of about 49% of the people in the world, are holding national elections this year, the results of which will prove consequential for years to come.

Against this backdrop, please join us on March 12 from 11.30am to 1.30pm for A Conversation with EU Deputy Ambassador to the United States, Michael Curtis at the occasion of his first official trip to Miami.

Michael Curtis will offer insights into the evolution of transatlantic relations in 2024, upcoming developments in transatlantic trade, global challenges as well as perspectives into relations between the EU and Latin America.

Our Guest of Honor will be in Conversation with Dra. Nora Gamez Torres, Journalist at The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald.
