As part of its “Why Florida?” series, EACC Florida is organizing a “Why Florida? What Business Leaders Need to Know when Planning to Establish Operations in the US” breakfast seminar for the group on Wednesday February 11. Daniela Betancourt Agosto, AMLCA
Daniela is a seasoned strategic banking executive with over 20 years of experience in international finance and cross‑border operations. As SVP and Director of Global Banking at Seacoast Bank since October 2022, she leads the development and execution of global banking strategies, supporting multinational clients entering or expanding in the U.S.Holding the AMLCA (Anti-Money Laundering Certified Associate) designation, Daniela brings deep expertise in BSA/AML and OFAC regulatory frameworks, ensuring robust governance and adherence to global standards while enabling growth and innovation.Outside her core role, she actively contributes to the Miami business community, serving as Chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Financial Services Committee since May 2023. Her leadership has been recognized with accolades such as “Most Influential Business Woman” by the South Florida Business Journal in 2025.
David is an Associate in Fragomen’s Miami office, where he advises multinational organizations and individuals on a wide range of immigrant and nonimmigrant immigration matters. His practice includes corporate immigration strategy, workforce mobility, I-9 compliance, and immigration issues arising from corporate reorganizations. David has successfully handled complex USCIS matters, IRS compliance matters involving foreign national workers, and has successfully represented individuals in removal proceedings.
Makiel Morciego
Makiel joined Kaufman Rossin in 2015. He is a director in the international tax advisory practice where he manages tax engagements for foreign and domestic clients investing in US and foreign businesses. Makiel focuses on international tax planning, preparation, and tax research with the goal of understanding all options for his clients and recommending the best possible tax strategy. He also recruits, trains, and manages tax professionals on his team with the goal of delivering exceptional services to clients in a fast-paced growing market. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and his Master of Science in Taxation from Florida International University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Martin is Chief Strategy Partner at Cozen O’Connor, is a leading Florida corporate attorney and trusted adviser to public and private companies, private equity and venture funds, and entrepreneurs. His practice focuses on M&A, private equity, growth capital, and corporate governance, with deep experience advising middle-market and family-owned businesses across complex transactions. As chief strategy partner, he works with firm leadership to drive competitiveness and growth. Marty is active in South Florida philanthropy and serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Greater Miami.
Christina Sleszynska is an International Association Executive formerly based in Brussels (Belgium). She has served as EACC Florida’s Executive Director since the organization was established in January 2020. Before moving back to Miami in 2017, she worked in Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels for 30 years, managing European trade associations and their EU government relations across various sectors of activities including European cultural and artistic cooperation, the European audiovisual industry, the European commercial radio industry and the intellectual property industry. In her previous role, she established the Representative Office for Europe of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the world’s largest trade organization of IP professionals. She ran INTA’s Office in Brussels from 2006 until 2017 as INTA’s Chief Representative Officer Europe. Ms. Sleszynska holds an MA in European Integration from the American University (Washington DC), a BA in Politics and Public Affairs from the University of Miami and an Executive MA in Management of International Associations from the Solvay Business School in Brussels. Christina speaks English, French, Spanish, German as well as some Dutch and Italian. She is married and has two adult children.
