The Fall in Miami was back to pre-Pandemic “busy” with diverse events and encounters including a number of international legal conferences held here, the opening of the first citizenM hotel – an EACC Florida member – in Miami, consular receptions, trade delegations and more.
This year’s Annual Conference of the International Bar Association (IBA) was held in Miami from 10/30 to 11/4/2022 with hundreds of lawyers from all continents congregating to our Magic City for five packed days of meetings, seminars, connections and of course – parties and receptions.
EACC Florida was delighted to support the Great Legal Futures Reception and work-shops organized by the UK Ministry of Justice on LawTech and Arbitration some of which were attended by Members and Friends.
Christina Sleszynska, Executive Director of EACC Florida, attended a seminar held by the Belgian Bar Associations and Belgian Trade & Investment Commissions on “Brussels Heart of the Legal World” with opening remarks by Michel Gerebetzoff, Consul General of Belgium.
And since no meeting is complete without a good party, our Executive Director attended the memorable reception organized by Greenberg Traurig at the Villa Casuarina in Miami Beach – the stunning house of Gianni Versace – complete with mermaids’ synchronized swimming in his famous pool.
The International Trademark Association (INTA), the largest organization of IP professionals in the world held its Leadership Meeting in Miami as well. It was a great opportunity to connect with the global “creme de la creme” of intellectual property lawyers – including Michel Bejot from the Bernard-Hertz-Bejot Law Firm in Paris – who also happens to be Vice-President of EACC France.
A very different style of party was held for the official opening of the first citizenM Hotel at their Brickell location. With locations in Downtown Miami and Miami Beach coming soon this Dutch brand of affordable, boutique hotels is sure to appeal to the next generation of mobile, tech-savvy and ‘smart luxury,’ travelers.
