EACC Florida Executive Director attended the International Economic Forum of the Americas 2023 held at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami on 11/6-7. The 2-day event was very well-attended with excellent speakers and sessions. The forum was a great opportunity to network, connect or re-connect with local officials, diplomats, academia and members from the international business community. A few EACC Florida Members were spotted at the event.
Highlights included sessions on “Reinventing the Supply Value Chain” with Barbara Humpton (Siemens USA), “Building an Environmentally Resilient Infrastructure” with Audrey Robat (ENGIE), “Bridging the Digital Divide” with David Joosten (Vodafone), “Building Tomorrow’s Tech Today: Perspectives from the Forefront” with Marc Ganzi (Digital Bridge).
A political highlight was the final panel with insights from four former Latin American Presidents: Iván Duque Márquez (Colombia); Jamil Mahuad Witt, (Ecuador), Jorge Quiroga (Bolivia) AND Juan Guaidó (Venezuela).
The cherry on the cake was without doubt the Lifetime Achievement Award Ceremony with the great Peruvian writer, Nobel Prize Winner and Member of the Académie française, Mario Vargas Llosa.
